Piada Florence food Review
I was invited to the new Piada location in Florence’s VIP soft opening to check out the new digs. Its just a hop skip and a jump over the river. I typically visit their Hyde Park location, but this one has the advantage of having a huge open courtyard to spill out on.
I had to give the farm club tasca a try. They I’d never eaten an actual piada, usually stuck to the pasta. Even though that’s its name sake. I was not disappointed. It was a flatbread sandwich that she made fresh, with chicken, arugula, avocado and some great sauces. I paired it with the orzo crunch and a pepperoni pizza stick. I do not believe in coming to piada without getting a pizza stick. Its by far my fav item on the menu. I usually get my food to go and per usual, I eat the pizza stick before I make it back to my destination.
The piada was great. Fresh and a really unique blend of ingredients, paired with the crunchy flatbread. The orzo was cooked perfectly, and tasted great, although I didn’t love whatever created the crunch. I believe it was a type of crouton. I really liked this new location and I will definitely order from the seasonal favorites menu from now on!
