Pit to Plate Food review
Headed here after my niece’s birthday party. There were so many options to choose from, but I settled on the brisket plate with mac & Cheese and sautéed okra. My Dad ordered the ribs, which I of course swiped one. I couldn’t pass up the peach cobbler. We got it to go and the staff was so friendly, that we sat an talked a while until the food was ready.
We took it to go, but not before I swiped one of my Dad’s ribs, lol. I was torn between the ribs and the brisket, and being able to try one of his was the best of both worlds. When I got home, I put a movie on and dug in. My husband was out of town for the night, so I was free to watch all the chick flicks I wanted 🙂
The brisket was amazing, tender and smoked well. I dipped it in the sauce & ate with the cornbread. Those little muffins were so cute. I didn’t realize the plate came with two, because I ordered an extra two. Which turned out okay, because I ate the second pair with my leftovers. There was plenty of leftovers. I only ate half of my meal and was stuffed with no room for dessert! The macaroni and cheese was cheesy and pretty good. I am a total mac & cheese snob, so the fact that I didn’t hate it was good, lololol. The sautéed okra was okay for me. I had ordered the green beans at first, but switched to the okra after the lady told me it was amazing. I’ve never had okra cooked that way, so I was intrigued. Its far better fried. I did pour bbq sauce on it and it was better. I didn’t love the peach cobbler, it was a bit too sweet and syrupy.
Overall it was a pretty good meal, I loved the brisket.
