Stopped into Skally’s for dinner, with my family and good friend. I was pleasantly surprised by how huge the place was and how great the space looked. This place would be great to host parties!
We started our meal with the soup of the day, it was bacon & Veggies. It was a chilly day, so soup was a great idea. Little did I know that Ms. Tina’s soup was next level comfort food! It was warm and delicious and well seasoned, it tasted like a warm hug. It is a must try item!!!
We were there to try the pizza, as the Owner of the Old world bakery, they know dough! They create an amazing dense pizza crust that is crispy and delicious. The sauce was flavorful and rich and topped with a premium melty cheese! Do yourself a favor and try this pizza. It was authentically delicious!
We also tried the gyro, so that we can try the pita. They tasted pretty good, the sauce was flavorful, with deli style meat. The pita holders were really cute, had the name of the restaurant on them. The girls got french fries, per usual. Their diet is about 65% french fries these days. Oh the life of toddlers. Loved the baskets the french fries came in.
We finished the meal with a dessert sampler, with baklava, cookies, and chocolate cake and a brownie! Everything was fresh and delicious and made with love. The chocolate chip cookie as buttery and amazing and no matter how much you eat, grab one to go! I also loved the baklava which was flaky and so perfectly layered. Their pastries were so very good, you can tell they know food and they know the science of baking.
I really enjoyed this food. We almost had to be rolled out of there. I highly recommend trying it and let me know what you think!!!
