V’s Cafe on 7th Food review

Stopped into V’s Cafe, not knowing what to expect.  This place is tucked into the side of the Aronoff and I didn’t realize until the other day it was a stand alone restaurant.  The Owner, was super sweet, he took my order and was really patient and personal with each guest.  I almost ordered a salad, until I saw that today’s special was for baby back ribs that he said were slow cooked for 5 hours w/ a lot of love.  I was sold!  I paired them with pasta salad & they came w/ corn bread & a drink.  I couldn’t pass up on their sweet tea.  Which we agreed is the only way to drink Iced tea!

The dining area was spacious and brightly lit, and I now know this is a great spot to catch lunch with a friend.  They plate all the food beautifully and everything they brought out looked fresh and amazing.  Since I only had 15 min on my meter, I took mine to go.  Back at my office I was pleasantly surprised.  The meat fell off the bone and the sauce was amazing.  I literally was able to eat the ribs with a fork.  WHAT?!  They were delicious and the pasta salad paired well.  I’m not eating much bread these days, but I did like the flavor of the corn bread.  The ice tea was the perfect companion to wash it all down.  I’m really looking forward to checking out other items on the menu.  Its rare to find such care taken with food preparation these days.  Everything tasted like it had been made with love.
