Bacon egg crescent squares recipe.
If you are looking for a quick and easy breakfast recipe, this is it!
Ingredients
Roll of crescent dough
Bacon (4 slices or so, cooked)
Parmesan cheese
4 eggs
Basil (fresh or dried)
Pepper & salt (I left the salt out)
Preheat oven to 400
Cover cookie sheet w/ parchment paper, and roll out dough, split into 2 large squares. Press all the perforations together in each square. Turn up all 4 edges just slightly to keep the egg in.
Crack 2 eggs carefully in each square. Place bacon across (I cut mine up for more even distribution, lol). Sprinkle w/ Parmesan cheese, sliced basil, salt & pepper. I left the salt & basil out for my heart healthy Mr & added Colby jack cheese to his.
Back for 11-12 minutes until golden brown.
This was so simple, but had a really sophisticated taste w/ the Parmesan & fresh basil. I will try different topping variations next time. I think the possibilities are endless! Enjoy.
