Let me introduce you to the West Virginia Hot Dog.  If you’ve never had one, you are surely missing out!  If you had no idea I was even from West Virginia, now you do.  This is a hot dog topped with chili, and cole slaw and maybe onions or mustard if you get down like that.  The recipe for each is simple.  Its a typical chili made without beans and sometimes made with sloppy joe sauce for sweetness.  My Mom doesn’t eat beef, so this was made with ground turkey.  The cole slaw is just cabbage ground up fine and mixed with mayo and a touch of mustard, salt & pepper.  Put together, it is a combo that reminds me of being a kid like no other.
