Baked Panko Crusted Pork Chop Recipe

Baked Panko Crusted Pork Chop Recipe

So this is my surefire recipe for crisp, juicy delicious baked, never fail pork chops.  I think I like them better than fried *gasp*

Ingredients

Olive oil spray

bone-in pork chops
panko crumbs
Italian seasoning
all-purpose flour
1 egg

hot sauce (optional)
Kosher salt
Black pepper

Most important thing you need is a roasting rack that sits over a cookie sheet.  Similar to this:

Instructions

(very loose instructions, if you need clearer increments, let me know!)

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 and spray the pan with olive oil spray
  2. Wash and pat dry pork chops before seasoning  with pepper, paprika, onion & garlic powder.
  3. Beat the egg, a couple dashes of hot sauce (to taste) and about a tablespoon of water in a flat dish.
  4. Mix flour, italian seasoning and panko crumbs well and pour into a flat dish.
  5. Dredge the chops in the egg mixture and then the panko mixture.  Lay carefully on rack.
  6. Cook for approximately 25 minutes, for thin pork chops, flipping half way through.
  7. Broil on each side for 2 minutes on each side for a nice golden crisp.  Then enjoy!
