Lara Brownie bar, an easy DIY sugar free snack!

I’m in the middle of a no sugar challenge. 21 days of healthy eating to kickstart the year. I needed a good swap for snacking, and remembered that Lara bars had no sugar. Well, they are $1.25 apiece, so I decided to make my own and I’m glad I did. I came up with a new flavor that I think you’re going to love!

Homemade Brownie Lara Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cashews (unsalted)
  • 1 cup of pitted dates
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon of water

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in food processor. Pulse to mix, and then process until well combined.
  2. Line a 8×8 pan with wax paper, and press the mixture into the pan to form one big square.
  3. Refrigerate for an hour to help everything meld together. Enjoy!
