Roasted asparagus recipe
I love a simple veggie recipe, this one is fool proof: turns out delicious every time! Asparagus is good for you and their hardy flavor pairs perfectly with steak or fish.
bushel of asparagus (look for tight buds and bright green color)
garlic or garlic powder
cajun seasoning or paprika
1 Preheat your oven to 400°F . Rinse the asparagus spears. Break off the ends by holding in both hands and bending down. Should snap easily. Discard ends.
2 Drizzle the pan with olive oil and rub the spears all over with the olive oil to coat. Lay beside each other in one layer. Sprinkle liberally with seasonings and minced garlic, and rub over the asparagus spears to evenly distribute.
3 Roast for 10-12 minutes, depending on how thick the spears are, until the asparagus are just lightly browned and tender when you pierce them with a fork. Serve and enjoy!
