Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

This soup is the perfect recipe to beat any cold.  It comes together quickly, and can be made with a rotisserie chicken in under 30 minutes, but there’s something about simmering everything all together that makes it so good.

Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe


  • 1 lb Chicken (I used boneless thighs)
  • 1 cup Carrots
  • 1 cup Celery
  • Minced Garlic
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • seasoning Salt and pepper
  • onion & garlic powder
  • poultry seasoning
  • 2 cups Egg noodles
  • 1 can cream of chicken (optional)


  1. In a large pot over high heat, add broth, chicken, carrots, celery, garlic, fill the rest of the way with water.
  2. Season liberally with seasoning salt, pepper, onion & garlic powder.
  3. Bring to Boil, then reduce heat, simmering for one hour, then removed & shred chicken.
  4. Put chicken back in pot, adding a teaspoon of poultry seasoning, egg noodles and a can of cream of chicken if desired.
  5. Boil for 10 minutes or until noodles are finished cooking, serve hot.
